Don’t Be Surprised With the Options Available for Bathroom Vanities

Visiting friends can be a challenge, especially if you are used to your own comfortable home and know where all the spare towels are located. These same friends may have very different design styles, say, a new age style, and may have a selected a bathroom vanity that looks more like a simple glass tabletop with a basin on top than a traditional bathroom vanity. But when you exit the shower, you that towel will be under the vanity rather than down the hall in the linen closet. Even if it doesn’t hold towels, it does look good.

If you have walked through a showroom lately that features bathroom designs, you will probably have seen a variety of bathroom vanities. The most common style is the single sink and linen cabinet, which includes the plumbing to connect it to the wall. These often resemble kitchen cabinets and are typically featured with many styles of finish work and wood selection. Oak and maple are very good choices of wood for these cabinets because they offer a strong material for construction and endure wear and tear very well through the years.

If you’re remodeling your master bathroom, you may want to consider one of the many double bathroom vanities available. These vanities include more than one sink, a double sink bathroom vanity, and provide additional cabinet space for storage and other essentials. But these vanities are not relegated to just a square frame construction. Many of these units look more like a fine piece of furniture, a hand crafted bureau or haute couture dresser. Some of these vanities feature legs and combine fine metals, stonework, carving and hand painting to make them a centerpiece of any bathroom.

Double vanity sinks also come in a large variety of shapes, sizes and functions. Sinks are no longer just oval catch basins, but can now be found in square, circular or triangular shapes. They may be made of stone, metal or glass. There is almost no limit to the variety.
