Lunch Party
I went to my friends for lunch the other day and as it was a warm day we sat outside in her garden. It was really nice to eat outside because it was not so hot that there were lots of insects around our plates but it was pleasantly warn. It is so nice to be able to get outside after the winter and actually relax rather than just hurrying about trying to keep warm. She had somehow really managed to balance her small garden well this year. She has a small grass area where the children can play football and there is a little wendy house for them in the corner. Then there is the patio area which is much more grown up with smart chairs and table and outdoor planters. I notice that the plants are pretty sturdy ones so they can cope with the occasional bashing with a football! She also has cushions and comfortable bean bags so you can really relax and normally brings out a music system in case you want a change from listening to the bird song. This year she has even added some gooseneck lighting so that you can stay outside as the dusk approaches and read your book or chat with a glass of wine. I have come home with lots of ideas for my garden.
